Your Pet My Passion Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to all Your Pet My Passion's services.

Initial Meet & Greet

All new clients are required to have a FREE, no-obligation meet and greet to discuss the needs of your pet(s) before making a booking. If all parties are satisfied, the booking will proceed.

Pet Carer Details

The primary pet carer is NATASHA TIPTON. In the event that Natasha is unable to care for your pet due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness or emergency), GILLIAN TIPTON will assume the role of the temporary pet carer. The pet owner will be notified if this occurs. If the owner or an emergency contact cannot be reached to grant permission for the change of carer, the temporary carer will still visit the property to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet.

Owner/Client Responsibilities

The Owner/Client agrees to:

  1. Provide Keys: Ensure that keys are available for the pet carer on requested days. Alternatively, if the pet(s) live outside, ensure the pet carer has easy access to them. Keys can be collected at the free initial meet and greet or separately for a £5 fee. A £5 fee will be charged for any subsequent key collections.

  2. Provide Necessary Supplies: Provide all items necessary for the adequate care of the pet(s) during the Owner/Client’s absence (e.g. leads, collars, food, cat litter, etc.). If additional supplies are required while the pet is in the carer's care, the Owner/Client agrees to reimburse the pet carer.

  3. Vaccination & Treatment: Ensure that the pet(s) are up to date with vaccinations, flea and tick treatments, and de-worming treatments.

Liability and Care

  • Care of Pets: While every care will be taken, the pet carer will not be held responsible for any illness, injury, loss, damage, or death to the pet(s) during the care period, whether inside or outside the home.

  • Weather Conditions: The pet carer reserves the right to cut short a walk if necessary due to extreme weather conditions (e.g. heat, thunderstorms) to ensure the safety of both the pet(s) and the pet carer. Dogs will be kept on a lead unless the owner provides separate off-lead authorisation.

  • Emergency Situations: In the event of an emergency, the pet carer will contact the Owner/Client using the provided contact details to confirm the Owner’s choice of action. If the Owner/Client or a designated third party cannot be reached, the pet carer is authorised to:

    • Transport the pet(s) to the listed veterinarian.

    • Request on-site treatment from a veterinarian.

The Owner/Client is responsible for all veterinary bills and medical expenses incurred during the pet(s)' care, regardless of how they arise. The Owner/Client is also responsible for any damages caused by the pet(s) to the pet carer or third parties.

  • Reimbursement: The Owner/Client agrees to reimburse the pet carer for any emergency care fees and any additional expenses for unexpected visits, transportation, housing, food, or supplies. The pet carer is not responsible for any third-party claims.

  • Any veterinary visits will be charged at a rate of £20 per hour, timed from the pet carers home address until they return to their home.

Property Insurance and Security

  • The Owner/Client is responsible for ensuring the property, its contents, and pet(s) are adequately insured while the pet carer is looking after them. The pet carer will ensure that the property is secured according to the Owner's instructions. The pet carer will not be held liable for any damage, break-ins, burglary, or theft.

Cleaning and Pet Care

  • The pet carer will clean up after the pet(s) to the best of their ability. Please inform the pet carer of the location of cleaning supplies. The pet carer is not responsible for any flooring stains created by your pet.

  • For cat litter trays, please provide the necessary items such as scooper, cat litter, and bags. Indicate where waste bags should be disposed of. This applies to other home-based animals like rabbits, etc.

Payment Terms

  • Pet Sitting: Full payment is required in advance, 7 days before the assignment begins or immediately upon return.

  • Dog Walking: Regular dog walking will be billed monthly and is due on receipt. Ad-hoc dog walking will be billed after the booking and is due upon receipt. Cash or bank transfer is accepted.

  • House Sits (Overnight stays): Deposits are required for all house-sitting bookings and are non-refundable. The deposit is approx. a third of the overall fee. This is to hold your dates for you. Please note a booking is not held until the deposit is paid in full.
